Kids Fest to Support CARES Foundation

(Horn Lake, MS, October 1, 2009) --  Classy Galz Wedding & Event Coordinators is pleased to present “CARES Fest for Kids” on Saturday, October 3, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Latimer Lake Park, 5633 Tulane Rd., Horn Lake, MS 38637. 

Enjoy a day in the park with music, games, face painting, popcorn, a 50/50 raffle, moon bounces and a car and truck show while helping raise money for Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) research, education and support.  All proceeds from this event will go to further CARES Foundation’s mission in honor of Horn Lake resident Briana Bateman. 

Research has shown that as many as one in 100 people are affected by CAH.  Despite this high prevalence, there is little research being done for a cure, public awareness of CAH remains low and there is substantial need for support programs and services for the existing CAH community.  CARES Foundation is committed to improving the lives of families and individuals affected by CAH through proactively advancing research for a cure; educating the public and health care professionals; advocating for universal newborn screening as well as immediate, appropriate, emergency medical treatment and comprehensive lifelong care; and providing support services and resources vital to the CAH community worldwide.

CARES Fest for Kids Fest tickets are $1.  Car & Truck Show entry is $20 (motorcycles welcome); register by 1:30pm.
