STEP IT UP: A Penny for Your Steps –
You can help raise awareness of CAH and funds for CARES just by keeping track of your steps and asking friends and family to pay you a penny for every step you take. So put on your Fitbit, your iFit, your Vivobit, or just a plain pedometer and get walking! Keep track of your steps daily and use website (that we have pre-designed for you to customize) to announce your progress.
The average person walks 6,000 steps a day – just doing average things. Just think, even on an average day, as an average person you could raise $60 a day! As a CARES supporter, we are asking you to “Step IT UP!” and set your goal high for the Talk It or Walk It Campaign for 2015. You can raise money for CARES AND get more fit!
Set your goal by the number of steps you want to reach between July 1 and October 31, (active people walk 10,000+ steps a day). Ask your supporters to pledge a penny for each step. They can donate by the distance, by the day or by the dollar amount they want to pledge.

$20.00 Donation (OR 2000 steps/1 mile)
$35.00 Donation (OR 3,500 steps)
$50.00 Donation (OR 5000 steps)
$60.00 Donation (OR 6000 steps – average for average day)
